Merr.com voice service operates over broadband internet connections such as cable modems, DSL, T1 and other circuits using Voice Over Internet Protocol “VOIP” as opposed to the TDM connections used by phone companies. The VOIP phone adaptor provided by Merr.com changes voice signals from your phone into VOIP packets that travel over your internet connection along with email and web page packets. The VOIP packets are then routed to the Merr.com switch which connects VOIP callers with other landline, cellular and international phone users over the traditional phone network.

Merr.com Voice is less expensive than the local phone company and offers more features such as Voice Mail, Caller ID, Call Waiting, 3-way calling, 911, Call Forwarding and many others all at no extra cost.
